Why the Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) Is Your Best Friend

As a project manager, keeping your employees satisfied is imperative to ensuring retention. The last thing you want is high turnover, as losing and gaining employees is expensive and time-consuming.

The eNPS is a metric used to measure the loyalty and satisfaction of employees within an organization. It is an adaptation of the Net Promoter Score (NPS) used for customers, but it focuses on employees' willingness to recommend their workplace to others. Here’s how eNPS works:

  1. Ask the Core Question: Employees are asked to rate on a scale from 0 to 10 how likely they are to recommend their workplace. The question typically is: "How likely are you to recommend this organization to others?"

  2. Categorize Respondents:

    • Promoters (9-10): These are loyal and enthusiastic employees who will likely recommend the organization to others.
